Most Workers Not Expecting Pay Raise

By Kyle Carrero

According to LinkedIn’s Workforce Confidence Index, only 45% of employees in the United States reported that they were expecting a raise in pay this year or any time in the next 6 months. Figures related to promotions was even lower, with only 22% of employees reporting that they expected an increase in title or responsibilities. According to reports, inflation and economic uncertainty have been the two biggest constraints on employee promotion and pay. With such an outlook on the horizon, it is possible we will see increased movement and/or reductions in the workplace.
